Passengers’ Wallet, Bag Stolen in Two Trains!

Two cases of theft in different trains were reported to government railway police (GRP) on Tuesday. Unidentified miscreants stole a wallet containing cash and official papers of a senior government employee who was travelling in Begumpura Express, while in another incident a bag containing valuables was stolen from Triveni express. According to GRP officials, both cases has been registered under section 379 of IPC.

According to inspector GRP Satish Kumar Singh, senior government official Om Prakash Mishra who was travelling in S-11 coach of Begumpura express boarded the train from Saharanpur on Tuesday. When the train reached at Lucknow at 8:30am, he found his wallet containing Rs 4,000 cash and voter-ID had been stolen. He lodged a complaint and case was registered under section 379 of IPC.

Obra Sonbhadra district resident Shubham Barnawal was travelling in S-2 coach of Triveni express with his family. When he reached Allahabad he came saw that his bag containing a gold chain, 2 earrings, High School, Intermidiate and graduation certificates, three mobile phones and Rs 5,000 had been stolen. He lodged FIR under section 379 of IPC at GRP.
